A feeling that your ears are blocked is a very common symptom.
Struggling to hear conversations recently or the volume of the TV is higher than usual.
A noise you hear in either ear or both ears such as a ringing, buzzing, or hissing sound.
This could be a dull ache to sharp pain in your ears as excess ear wax presses against the ear canal and eardrum.
Other symptoms such as dizziness, vertigo, itchy ears, and coughing can occur.
The audiologist will ask you questions about your ears and the symptoms you are experiencing. Then look inside your ears with a camera, to see if there is a build-up of ear wax.
If you need ear wax removal, the audiologist will discuss the treatment with you and remove the ear wax safely using microsuction during the appointment. We also offer ear irrigation.
Once the ear wax is removed, the audiologist will show you pictures of your ears to make sure you are happy!
